Classes and Training

We offer regular Major Donor Master Classes, Writing Workshops, and in-house workshops and coaching sessions for charity leaders. All of our Master Classes and workshops are packed with practical tips. They're ideal for aspirational fundraisers and Chief Executives who need to raise new major gifts.

Join us, and we will give you loads of opportunity to rehearse actual negotiations, tell fresh stories about your charity, and understand better how to build great relationships with your donors. Our aim is to build your confidence and effectiveness -- and to have some fun along the way.

"What a terrific two days!" wrote one participant in our last Master Class. "I'm armed with so much to share!"

Our next Master Class will be in the spring. If you email us at info@prosperopartners.co.uk, or call us on 0208 741 7211 or 0207 419 4252, we can tell you more about it and make sure you are on the shortlist. We'd love to hear from you!

In-house Training

For organizations with larger development teams that need bespoke training, Prospero Partners provides hands-on workshops. Each workshop is designed in collaboration with the staff to ensure that training meets the whole team’s needs and addresses actual donor and prospect scenarios. We have delivered workshops for charities and Universities across the country, addressing issues such as:

  • Building a more cohesive and effective fundraising team
  • Effective personal communication
  • Team coaching
  • Ask training for major gift solicitations
  • Communicating with donors – both in writing and in person
  • Building and stewarding donor relationships – from making that first phone call to winning a major gift
  • How to network effectively at events

Coaching and Mentoring

Prospero Partners coaching enables senior staff to practice “making an ask” and gain confidence in key meetings with major donors.

Coaching is ideal for busy executives who need more individualised attention, especially when preparing for a particularly challenging meeting. We also mentor fundraising staff so that they can embed best practice into their own approach, and can help find effective solutions to specific organisational or fundraising challenges.

Coaching and mentoring can take place at the client site or at offices in central London. We can use video recording, if required, to help clients to recognise and hone their individual communication style.

Coaching sessions usually last from one to three hours and are charged depending on location and travel.
