Scottish Ballet

We needed to guide the Board of Directors on how best to attract more high value prospects to the Company. Prospero Partners led the Board and staff through productive, stimulating exercises that resulted in practical next steps that we were all eager to implement. Their combination of fundraising expertise and a results-based approach was ideal.

I was new to fundraising and had ambitious targets to meet, so needed to learn different skills and techniques, prioritise my time and avoid false starts. Prospero Partners provided me with regular coaching, as well as helping me to set and achieve the right goals quickly and effectively. They gave me great confidence and support – as well as helping to open some very important doors. We are now on track to achieve results that nobody else believed possible in our first year; I’m certain that this could not have been done without their guidance.

Friends of the Earth

At Friends of the Earth, we’ve turned to Prospero Partners for help with a number of issues relating to major donor fundraising: how to develop relationships with specific prospects, how to set our overall major donor strategy, and how to prepare staff for a key cultivation event. Every time, we’ve got the kind of practical, experienced guidance that dramatically increases our own confidence and success. Liz and Wilder have become trusted friends as well as advisors – we feel lucky to know they are there for us.

Sense

Founded in 1955 by a small group of families with deafblind children, Sense has grown into a major UK charity with a world-wide reputation for its pioneering work.

We have an ambitious five-year strategic plan that calls for a steep increase in fundraising revenue. As part of our preparation, we asked Prospero Partners to deliver a day-long ‘Communicate the Passion’ workshop for our fundraising team. In the workshop we reviewed our current messages and then worked in groups to develop fresh, persuasive language and personal stories. By the end of the day, we had also realized that our messages cluster in five distinct areas, including leadership and fiscal stability – two areas that we hadn’t emphasized strongly before.

The workshop gave us great practical tools that we can go on using. Three months later, we are rolling out our ‘Passion Book,’ which gives all staff guidelines and examples to call upon whenever they talk with donors or prospects.
